Il convertitore Flowire FCDC3 1008080310 di Zenitel, consente di alimentare una stazione IP e trasmettere dati a lunga distanza tramite un cavo ad una coppia. Questo dispositivo consente di collegare apparati IP a distanze maggiori di 100m dallo switch, eliminando la necessità di posizionare Switch secondari e/o Ripetitori.
Può essere utilizzato anche laddove si intende effettuare il refit di un vecchio impianto, per sostituire stazioni analogiche o digitali con le nuove stazioni IP, riutilizzando i cavi già esistenti.
